Bar 4, located in Park Slope, Brooklyn has been my home away from home, the place where I went to test out new songs, hear fellow musicians play and share in the collective community of local artists. Today Bar 4 has announced that they are closing their doors in August 15, 2013. Bar 4 has been the epicenter of the Brooklyn musicians collective the Local Correspondents and has hosted the most popular Brooklyn open mic on Tuesday evenings. I got my start playing guitar as a solo artist on the Bar 4 stage. The Bar 4 family is vast and eclectic. It will be missed.
