Sheryl is the recipient of ASCAP's 2009 Award for Songwriting.

Sheryl was offered a Music Licensing Deal from Suzanne Hilleary, Founder and President of *WACBIZ,LLC*
WACBIZ represents and licenses the catalogues of over 200 professional acts -- from Duncan Sheik to Danny Aiello, and those who have recorded and toured with the likes of Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Suzanne Vega, Tom Petty and NOW Sheryl :) yay!

Sheryl will play solo and share concerts with fellow songstress Clara Lofaro (claralofaro.com)

I've joined an organization called "Musicians On Call".

The goal, of the organization, is to bring live music to the bedside of patients, their families and the staff in healthcare facilities.

My first opportunity will be Wed April 15th at The Rivington House in NYC.

On Saturday April 11, I will present my first solo show ever! Just me with my pink guitar (and a few effects pedals too).

The repertoire will include songs from my current release "Electric Eyes", + a few new jems + a few covers for good measure!

Electric Eyes is the latest release from Sheryl Cohen and marks her first collaboration with producer extraordinaire Izzy Gold (Ashlee Simpson, George Clinton, The Ravonettes, etc).

Sheryl and Izzy Gold set out to write songs that were contemporary yet reflected a retro, lounge vibe.

Electric Eyes is the remarkable result of this winning collaboration.

"In The End, The Rain Song" is the first recording from Sheryl's new collection of music. These recordings will feature lyric driven music, recorded live . . no electronics this time.

Izzy Golds Records announced that "Electric Eyes," has been released to the retailers today.
Sheryl's EP collaboration with Producer Izzy Gold will be stocked, on shelves and ready to greet the public very soon. Please stay tuned for the Official Release Announcement.

Copy Cat Music client Angelique Kidjo will publish her first songbook.
The written music from the album Djin Djin, winner of the 2008 Grammy for Best Contemporary World Music, will be published in France in late 2009.

In 2008, Sheryl signed a distribution deal with Izzy Gold Records. She, and legendary Producer Izzy Gold, (Ashlee Simpson, George Clinton, The Ravonettes, etc.), collaborated on a project of original lounge, pop music. "Electric Eyes", is slated for release in early 2009.

Sheryl is the recipient of the 2008 ASCAPLUS Award for songwriting.

Copy Cat Music client Ariella Vaccarino has published,
"Voice Lessons To Go's -Vocalize!" (Perfect Paperback).
The book is a companion piece to the CD series entitled "Voice Lessons To Go."
Sheryl transcribed the music from all four CD's to create the content for the book.

Producer Marcos Vigio and I are working together to record new material.
The 5 song EP is tentatively titled "In Between I Daydream".
The musical direction of this project is Pop/Electronica.
Elements of Brazilian music will also play an important role in this collection of songs.

Our collaboration with Costume Designer Tara Hawk (Gossip Girl, American Gangster) was captured on film by Annie Quick.
